How This Calculator Works

This page takes your date of birth, calculates your current age, and compares it with a selected average lifespan assumption. The result is shown as a life lived percentage.

The basic formula is simple:

  • Age today ÷ chosen lifespan = life lived percentage
  • Remaining years = chosen lifespan − current age
  • Remaining days = remaining years × 365.25 (approximate)

According to World Health Organization life expectancy data, global average life expectancy is approximately 73 years, though this varies significantly by country — from under 60 in some regions to over 84 in Japan and Switzerland.

⚠️ This is not a personal forecast. It does not account for genetics, lifestyle, health, environment, or future medical advances. It is only a statistical thought exercise.
